Not only are Pearls the birthstone of June, they are also making a big come back and showing us how we should never forget how stylish this timeless stone can be.

The fabulous Coco Chanel was famed for her pearl jewellery and said: “A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls.” Pearls became a signature look for the legendary brand and the current designer, Karl Lagerfeld, keeps that alive in today’s pieces.

Pearls may be filling this season’s runways, but they are also filling the jewellery stores. Many jewellers are showing off their best, on social media platforms and in shop windows. Pearls can be for everyone and there are brands that focus solely on this in all styles and price ranges: Kyoto Pearl, Jersey Pearl, Mikimoto and more. These companies are the pearl professionals and keep it updated and fashionable every year. However, other jewellers are seeing what the fashion designers have predicted for this year, pearls are the must-have item.

These beautiful pearl pieces need some beautiful display to sit on, and with our wide variety of off-the-shelf stock, TJDC has a combination of props that will compliment a pearl in every sense of the word.

Shimmer white is one of our new materials and this really brings a touch of elegance. Pearls are classic and chic; this set-up compliments that fact.

All the stunning pearl jewellery was kindly given by our customer Kyoto Pearl, their pieces create timeless elegance with modern design.

Finally, a fashion brand that is really utilising the pearl is Gucci, and they are showing us that the pearl will still be the perfect fashion piece next year. In the Cruise 2018 collection, designer Alessandro Michele, took pearls to their limit. He didn't just use them as garment decoration or jewellery, he used them as eyebrows and balaclavas. So, it seems pearls will be a style staple for a while.
